NEW YORK CITY I THE NEED
NEW YORK CITY
New York City, known as “the Big Apple,” is home to the iconic Statue of Liberty. The city is a collection of many neighborhoods scattered throughout the city’s five boroughs—Manhattan, Brooklyn, the Bronx, Queens, and Staten Island. NYC has been referred to as “the Most International City in the World.” Moving from one city neighborhood to the next gives the perception of passing from one country to another.
THE NEED FOR THE GOSPEL
Despite being characterized as the world’s premier financial center, New York City suffers a deep spiritual poverty. 8.6 million people live in the five boroughs of NYC, but only 4% profess Jesus Christ as their Savior. Without the Gospel, 8.25 million New Yorkers will spend eternity separated from God.
